The project team travelled to and undertook historical research in each of these communities and, along with our project partners, hosted workshops and consultations in each community. As a first generation college graduate, I witnessed the stagnant effects of poverty and limited medical resources on our health care. I was raised on the beautiful island of Grand Bahama, Bahamas by two Haitian parents.
